We are the first to admit that we don't know everything there is to know, especially when it comes to web servers.  That's why we don't actually have our own web servers - we leave that to someone else.  That means that the day-to-day maintenance of the server itself is taken care of by a team of people who do know what they're doing, who monitor performance and ensure that everything is working at its best.

So why not go direct to someone else?

Well, you could do.  The performance you'd get would probably be much the same.  But the main difference is that because we provide hosting for lots of people we get hosting at a considerable discount - think of it like buying in bulk from a cash-and-carry store.  We get it cheap and pass those discounts on to you.  So you could go somewhere else, but it would probably cost you more for the same package.

The other important factor to remember is that we speak your language.  Yes, we understand the technical jargon, but we can also explain it all in words you'll be able to relate to.  So if something does go wrong, we'll be able to explain what's happened and what to do next.  Oh, and our support is free.

What happens if something goes wrong?

We try to monitor all our web sites to make sure everything is working properly, but if you spot something on your site that has stopped working, or if you start having e-mail problems, get in touch with us.  If we can't sort it out ourselves then we'll direct the query to the hosting provider and feed back to you.  We have an excellent working relationship with our server provider and can usually resolve issues very quickly.
