Thomas Plume's Library is based in Maldon, Essex, and now has a new web site to promote their catalogues online. It's not a public library so they don't lend book, but they have some fantastic historical collections on display.
We've worked on this site before, but now we've given it a visual refresh and made it look extra special!
The web site for St Stephen's Church Centre in Colchester is now finished and online, with a bright design and an easy to use CMS.
We have recently finished a web site for Christ Apostolic Church UK Revival Centre, a young church in Deptford, who wanted an attractive site they could manage themselves, plus a few extras, and all at an affordable price.
The latest addition to our portfolio is Elim Pentecostal Church Braintree, which went live today. There are a couple of remaining jobs to do now it's online, but please do take a look at the site at www.elimbraintree.org.uk.
Why would a church need a podcast? The most obvious application is the weekly sermons that already go on at every church, and since most churches use PA systems these days it is not a huge leap of technology to record the sermon and put it online. By including the notices too you can quickly create a useful weekly resource for your church's community, whether they physically attend the services or not - handy for those unable to come to church due to disability or fragility.
Like it or not, it's the latest trend. The rest of the world is doing it, and it's time the Church got its act together and started providing modern media types too. Podcasts are a great way to spread a message around the world quickly and easily in a way that doesn't require the effort of reading, and with the added bonus of being able to listen to it on the train, on the way to work, while jogging round the park, or just sat on the sofa at home. This is an ideal way of helping your weekly church sermons reach a much wider audience.
